1. Introduction
 
Interdisciplinary research integrates knowledge, methodologies, tools, and perspectives from multiple disciplines to address complex issues that a single disciplinary approach cannot adequately address.
 
Recognizing the importance of collaborative and interdisciplinary approaches to contemporary research, MKSSS has established the MKSSS Interdisciplinary Research Cell (MKSSS IRC) to connect faculty, researchers, Ph.D. scholars, students, academicians, professionals, industry, experts, and society across its diverse higher education units and disciplines.
 
The MKSSS IRC will provide a platform for knowledge exchange, collaborative research, innovation, and meaningful engagement with industry and society. It will promote emerging areas of interdisciplinary research and encourage translating research into practical solutions, including creating and protecting patents, copyrights, trademarks, and other intellectual property.
 
A key focus of the Cell will be society-oriented research that responds to community needs, challenges, aspirations, and priorities, contributing to social development, sustainability, innovation, and overall societal well-being.

The MKSSS IRC will:

  5. Strengthen academia-industry-community linkages to connect research with real-world needs and opportunities.
  6. Encourage innovation and intellectual property generation, including patents, copyrights, trademarks, designs, and other forms of IP.
  7. Create opportunities for knowledge sharing and capacity building through seminars, workshops, conferences, research forums, expert interactions, and collaborative initiatives.
  8. Support faculty, researchers, Ph.D. scholars, and students in developing interdisciplinary research projects, publications, innovations, and funding proposals.
