The Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha, (MKSSS) successfully organized the Career Guidance Expo (2025) for the third consecutive year on September 26 and 27, with great enthusiasm. This year’s central theme was “Career for Purpose.”

A total of 18 higher education disciplines actively participated in this expo. Institutions and departments from various fields like engineering and technology, design, administrative services, arts, commerce, management, skill development, and sustainable development contributed to the event.

The two-day expo featured numerous activities. Over 22 free workshops and career orientation sessions were conducted for students. Any student from outside could participate and gain hands-on experience in the respective fields. This helped students assess whether they truly liked a particular field, whether they could align with it, and whether they could build a career in it in the future.

To encourage entrepreneurship, a Business Plan Competition was held, receiving over 85 proposals. To bridge the gap between industry and academia, a special initiative called “HR Meet” was organized, which saw participation from over 35 human resource representatives. Panel discussions were held during this session, with Mr. Jayant Dipte as the chief guest and Mr. Umesh Rathod as the guest of honor. The panel focused on bridging the gap between education and industry and fostering mutual collaboration.

In a special session for parents and students titled “Connect with Counsellors,” Dr. Bhushan Kelkar, Mr. Rahul Kulkarni, and Mrs. Swati Namjoshi provided valuable guidance. Under the “Principal Dialogue” session, principals from Anandashram, Mahilashram High School, S.P.M. School, as well as experts in ECD and ECCE were present. This session was conducted under the chairpersonship of Mrs. Sonali Deshpande, President of Persistent Foundation.

The expo witnessed enthusiastic participation from both students and parents. It played a key role in fostering dialogue and collaboration among educational institutions, industry, schools, and colleges. The event was strongly supported by the management board, teachers, and volunteers of the institute. Over 50 schools and colleges, including branches of the MKSSS from Wai, Satara, and Pune, registered for the event, with more than 3,000 students directly benefiting from the program.

“The purpose of this expo — to help students find the right direction in choosing a career, to recognize new opportunities in employment and entrepreneurship, and to provide guidance to parents — was successfully achieved,” stated the institute. The success of this event was made possible through the invaluable guidance of the MKSSS Chairman Mr. Ravindra Dev, Vice Chairperson Mrs. Vidya Kulkarni, and all members of the Management Committee.
