“Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha”, (MKSSS), Pune has taken a lead in the field of short term courses. Now a days, due to competition and high percentage in secondary and higher secondary education, it is not possible for each and every student to score high percentage and to meet the expenses of higher education, even though they want to learn professional courses. Taking into consideration MKSSS has established Vocational Training institute in the year 1995. Manilal Nanavati Trust has given the financial support for this institute; hence it is named as “Shri Manilal Nanavati Vocational Training Institute for Women” (MNVTI).

The Samstha has taken systematic efforts to make women self reliant through development of skills. The institute is conducting a variety of courses in the field of computers, interior design, dress design, beauty culture, primary teacher training, art & craft, computer hardware & networking, etc.

 

The Institute is recognized by Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation and Maharashtra State Technical Board. Young girls as well as women learn garment cutting, stitching, embroidery, accounts writing, making gift articles. interior decoration and fashion designing, dress designing and manufacturing, make-up art etc.

The Institute aptly responds to the changing needs of vocational training. It also conducts special courses during vacations. The exhibitions of student’s creations attract a large crowd every year.
