The aim of MKSSS, Pune is to develop competent, young, dynamic and committed teachers who posses the capability of building foundation of Nation. MKSSS, Pune believes that “teachers play an important role in fostering the intellectual and social development of children during their formative years. The education that teachers impart plays a key role in determining the future prospects of their students. Whether in pre-schools, high-schools, private or public schools – it is a teacher who provides the tools and the environment for students to develop into responsible adults”.

 

Apart from being well-informed and experienced in their respective subjects MKSSS, Pune observes that teachers must have the ability to communicate, inspire trust, confidence and motivate students. Also, care is taken that the educational and emotional needs of all students are understood. They should be organized, dependable, patient and creative. Teachers must be able to work co-operatively and communicate effectively with other teachers, support staff, parents and members of the society.

 

The college buildings have spacious classrooms, method rooms, psychological lab, science lab, computer lab and library. These colleges have adopted the unique methods and teaching strategy. The students are fully engaged in attending lectures, preparing model lectures for the students as an assignment, participating in school programs and interacting with well known personalities in the schools.

 

The teachers trained through our institutes are working in different parts of Maharashtra. They are putting valuable and dedicated efforts in educating the young pupils with a sound foundation. They are well-aware of the social fabric of Maharashtra.

 

1. Parvatibai Adhyapika Vidyalaya at Karvenagar established in 1916, trains teachers in D.Ed. course. In addition, it conducts a large number of service courses. These are attended by teachers of primary schools all over Maharashtra.

2. Bhaskarrao Karve Adhyapika Vidyalaya at Erandwane was established in 1945. It conducts D.Ed. course. It is well-known for high quality teacher training.

3. From the year 2005 MKSSS, Pune has started B.Ed. course in Smt. Shakuntala Nargundkar Shikshashastry B.Ed. Mahila Mahavidyalaya approved by Kavi Kulguru Kalidas Sanskrit Vidyapeeth in Nagpur.

4. In the year 2008, B.Ed course has been started in the College of Education for Women, Shirgaon Ratnagiri. It is approved by NCTE, Govt. of Maharashtra and affiliated to SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai.
